Call me Martha...
At the beginning of the summer I made a goal to do one domestic activity... I decided that I wanted to make JAM and I have not made it yet. So if you have a good recipe that you would be willing to share I would love to see it. Please note that I am a novice. Thanks for sharing.

Family Bonding & Moose takes one for the team
Over this past weekend we went to Heber with Andrew's extended family. We stayed at a girl's camp in the Heber mountains. It was beautiful. It was really fun to chat and eat and continue to get to know everyone better. They are a great family. I took my camera including my large lens so I could get some pretty pictures of the scenery. Andrew and I went for a hike Friday morning that ended at an overlook over the cities of Heber and Midway. On the way I pulled out my camera to start shooting and realized that in all my attempts to be prepared I had left my battery charging at home. From then on it was "well this would have been an awesome picture if we had a camera"... I was ticked, but we still had a great time. We did a challenge course that included climbing up a tree and tight rope walking on a cable at the top while holding on to another cable. As a general rule I hate ropes courses and challenge courses because of an experience in high school at one with the debate team (Savanna was there, she can vouch for how much it sucked). Well this one was a lot more fun then I expected and I was glad that I did it without swearing in front of the many innocent children.
In other news, Moose (the cat that we live with) likes to go out on the deck at night so that he can stalk everything without being seen. While he was out last night he came bustling through the door chasing one of those flying daddy long leg bugs. He eventually lost it and began to pounce every spot on our walls. So I thought it was gone and went to bed. Moose has a strict code of ethics which include: hatred of petting, hair twisty loving, and my personal favorite is not letting Summer sleep past 7:30 regardless of the day so that she does not become lazy. Well he was in rare form this morning and I assumed that he was deviating from his typical antics (to include: face slapping, meowing right out of arms reach and jumping on my night stand...). He was jumping into our blinds and tromping over both Andrew and I. Moose would not disturb Andrew in the morning for all the tea in China so I decided to get up and see what the problem was. He had his eyes glued to the flying daddy long leg bug on the wall. So I picked him up so that he could get close because I thought it would be entertaining to watch him try and bat at it. Well Moose had a different idea and as soon as he could he grabbed the bug with his paw and shoved it in his mouth. I immediately threw/dropped him and he proceeded to eat the bug. I was so grossed out that I don't think I will be able to hold him for a few days without fearing that he may get to close to my face.
I don't think I have every posted this long of a post. Won't happen again.

Thinking...
I have not posted in a while because one our computer has been getting "fixed" and so I have not had a computer and two because there is not a whole lot going on. Here are a few things that are on my mind today....
Glad that Lindsay is home safe and had a great time
Excited that I got to talk to Eric and listen to him try and talk through a smile
Bugged by "computer techs" that keep our computer forever and return it unfinished (twice)
Loving the weather
Looking so forward to meeting my future niece/nephew
Excited to go camping before it gets too cold
Excited to do fantasy football for the first time.
We have to take our computer in again so that they can finish it so it may be a while before I post again.

Our sweet little senior citizen of a computer finally kicked the can. I guess the lovie talk and encouragement could only help for so long. We are glad that she decided to not destroy our songs or pictures before her hard drive went up in a blaze of glory. We should be up and running tonight or tomorrow with our new tyke. Hopefully he doesn't have an attitude.

Don't be offended if you own Crocs and don't find this as funny as I did. If you have the same view point as me, enjoy.
